August 11: "Build it Tight, Ventilate it Right"
Find out how building techniques and material choices can produce a home that has very little accidental leakage and just the right amount of ventilation. The Build it Tight, Ventilate Right training will focus on the pressures we put on homes and how this impacts the proper ventilation in the home. Learn what conditioned air is, where it should be and how to keep it there. Built it Tight, Ventilate it Right will look at how codes and programs such as Northwest ENERGY STAR look at building and duct tightness, as well as ventilation. Strategies for proper ventilation will be discussed, detailing when houses breathe, how much they breathe and where air exchanges take place. Attendees will learn about products and practices to ensure fewer callbacks, while producing a better indoor environment for future homeowners.
